Our 1st Horn Player - Elizabeth Spencer

Elizabeth began her musical career at the age of 11 years and started as most children do on cornet. Her experience of brass bands started a year or so later when she joined TDS Lancashire Brass and then Chorleyand District Youth Band.

Elizabeth moved down to the South East to study at Imperial College and joined City of Canterbury Brass Band on Flugel and then GEC Marconi Avionics on 1^st. Baritone.

Due to work commitments,Elizabeth was forced to take a break from banding for 10 years.

In 2007,Elizabeth moved back to the North West and began playing again. She has played with Eccleston Brass and Blackburn and Darwen before joining Darwen Brass in 2009 on 1^stHorn
