Ken Lofthouse - Bb Bass
Ken began his banding with Great Horton Salvation Army band in Bradford, West Yorkshire, eventually becoming Bandmaster (conductor)
for four years. A career move brought him to Lancahire where he joines Blackburn SA bandand was also their conductor from 1983-1987.
He retired from playing some time ago but joined Darwen Brass to help out at a contest. He enjoyed it so much, he decided to stay.

Ken is married to Ann and has one son, Andrew, who is currently studying trumpet at the RNCM
In his 'spare' time Ken is Managing Director of a mechanical services company.
