Fred our Solo Baritone
Having started playing musical instruments at the age of 7 Fred has gone through most of the sections from Cornet, Flugel, tenor Horn, baritone, Euphoniun and Bass Trombone.
He also plays the Piano and Organ.
He has two daughters who also can play brass instruments and his youngest daughter is also a piano teacher.
He was a member of the Lancashire Constabulary Band prior to amalgamation.
There is music involved in his life from beginning to end.
He joined Blackburn and Darwen 2nd Band and then carried on with the formation of the Darwen Brass Band.
