Daniel our 1st horn
Daniel (to give his full Sunday title) started playing the cornet in Year 4, at the age of 9. After having lessons from the Lancashire music service, he joined the junior band of Haslingdon and Helmshore Brass Band. Shortly after joining he saw the light and moved onto playing the tenor horn. He then went on to join Water Band, playing first horn for them. He then moved on to Burnley Alliance Silver Band, also for some mysterious reason on first horn. During this time he also joined Blackburn and Darwen Junior Band, and quickly progressed up to the training band. Then when Darwen Brass was formed he joined them, on believe it or not First Horn, where he has enjoyed himself ever since.
Daniel has progressed hugely as a player and has shown himself to be a true bandsman whilst with Darwen Brass. He is a great asset to the horn section and the band.
