Darwen Brass is a reletively new brass band, formed in January 2007.

 

Although a "new band" there already exists a strong sense of social community, this proves itself as the band works as a team with great spirit. 

 

We welcome with open arms any person who would like to improve their current playing level to raw learners.

 

We have players of various strengths and experience within our membership which along with Steve our MD, are ready to help along those who have the desire to play a brass or percussion instrument or improve on their current level.

 

We also have a varied and active social side which incorporate activities that all our members can take part in and enjoy, ranging from 10 pin bowling events to race nights.

 

We take great pride in the various engagements we undertake in our local community of Darwen and beyond and take great satisfaction in delighting our audiences where ever we go.

 

If you would like to learn to play a brass or percussion instrument please get in touch and come along to our rehearsals and meet the band. We are a very friendly bunch!!

 

The band holds rehearsals twice a week, from 8-00PM to 10-00PM Monday and Thursday in our new bandroom situated in Albert Mill, Lower Darwen, Darwen, Lancs. BB3 0QE.
